Henri Matisse - Moroccan Landscape (1911-13)
ok, just saw a few posts from ppl saying they like elementary better than sherlock! may steven moffat forever torment your dreams!
Moffat already DOES torment my dreams with his shitty, lazy, misogynistic, racist, homophobic, dumbshit writing.
For every accusation of Moffat being sexist, I’ve seen a adequate rebuttal. So until I see an accusation that there isn’t an adequate rebuttal for, I will continue to appreciate his writing.
I’ve written about Moffat before many times. Calling him a sexist isn’t so much an accusation as it is an observation.
His female characters are consistently denied agency and disempowered. They are flooded with male gazey cliches. On top of the racism and homophobia, his inability to write a truly complex and empowered female character is a CONSISTANT problem.
Not only are his female characters all bland and routinely mistreated, but he relies on gendered humor and sexist jokes habitually within Doctor Who.
I’d LOVE to see someone try to rebute the horrific way in which Amy’s inability to have children was handled, or Irene Adler’s treatment. Because, hot damn.

Elementary’s Moriarty makes BBC’s Moriarty look like a confused adolescent who occasionally robs peoples houses.
